Fisheries Biologist

Pond management is how Pond King got started and remains one of our core services. We service some of the prettiest ponds and properties within a 300-mile radius of Gainesville and we are looking for a driven Fisheries Biologist to join our team. If you join our team, you’ll perform field work related to maintaining and improving private lakes. The right candidate will have the opportunity to visit with clients on their property and develop management strategies to fit their goals and budget. As a Pond King employee, you will also be involved in either the direct execution or supervision of all related work.

Job duties:

Typically, our Fisheries biologist do just about everything associated with our Pond King pond management services, including but not limited to electroshock surveys, fish stocking, consulting, vegetation treatment, aeration maintenance, etc.

Qualifications:

We are a leader in providing pond management services and we expect our Fisheries Biologists to have bachelor’s degree in the field of biology or fisheries management. Some private fisheries management experience, preferably bass-bluegill populations. Since you will represent Pond King to our customers, you must be personable with strong communication skills. This is not a research position – you must be willing and capable of performing physical labor.

Compensation: 

• Salary: Up to $18/hr. start, based on qualifications & experience
• Benefits Offered: Simple IRA, Accrued Paid Vacation & Holidays
